What is Economic ?
What is economics and what is economic? A Van Dale dictionary from 1954 defines economics as “economy, political economy, in terms of design efficiency. Prisma 1992 A dictionary that “prosperity doctrine, economy, efficiency”. The website of Van Dale www.vandale.nl, gives 2005 as the statement “doctrine of human welfare, political economy, economic system”. Economy means in Dutch, unlike English, both domestic and science that this study. In English they are called, respectively, economy and economics. A better insight into the true meaning of the economy and economic terms can be obtained by looking at the meta-etymological sense of economy, oiko-Nomia in Greek.
Eco stands for oikos, the (t) house, the fireplace, the living environment, location. Economy comes from nemoo. This means distribute, possess, control. Divide in the sense of what each deserves according to his needs. Have not as property but as manage and control the place where one sits, the site, the resort, the house. Driving is seen as sending a safe, beneficial future. Compare with a supervisor or a manager, the way that good, safe way points. Economics also essential means of economy, thrift, without waste and cautious attitude to sources and resources. Professor Eric Lefebvre, supervisor of this thesis, teaches organization theory and strategy at Limburg University Center in Diepenbeek. He believes that often the latter definition is contrary to much of the modern (pseudo-) economy in the last two hundred years.
